poem of the day December 31

The one
arm tango
is a dance
for dreamers
Especially
on long
nights
when
sleep
hides
in the
memory
of black
shadows

poem of the day December 30

Old and
young
frame
the fine
mind line
Each breath
we take
a fresh
taste of
time
Seeing
the baby
in the
old man’s
arms
Shows
both
ends of
the never
ending
rainbow

poem of the day December 29

So many
times
Delusion
takes
hold
and becomes
truth
Only
because
of words
spoken
by long
chimps
gathered
around
small open
fires
feasting
on desire
Had not
rooted
much
of anything
to the
earth
Except
the importance
of  their
own
chatter

poem of the day December 28

When the
other side
is opened
without
intention
When the
old branch
breaks from
too much
worry
Then it
is time
to dance
the Bear Rug
Waltz
with
high healed
reason
Found
inside
of well wised
seasons

poem of the day December 27

The night
was over
The day
has begun
The circle
gets its
shape
from the
sun
Its emotions
fill
the planet
of one
Where
time
speaks
with
desire
that's
expressed
by the
tongue

poem of the day December 26

All the
wise men
were
traveling
with
agendas
so big
Laden with
bribes
so heavy
they were
unable
to to
much
but
sink the
boat
that
was
short
in the
float

poem of the day December 25

Sitting
with my
dog
before
the dawn
watching
the lights
of the
Christmas tree
reflect off
the presents
all wrapped
and tempting
no one
else is
up to
enjoy
this silent
calm
only a
fleeting
moment
left
before
the magic
storm
of wonderment

Lights
Presents
Action
love and joy

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

poem of the day December 24

The Earth
was falling
into
man-made
hell
when it was
hit by
a super
comet
and
scattered
into the five
directions
Because
of man's
failures
the sun
thought
it best
to reform
the five
energies
into a
different
circle
It took
a long
time
but when
it emerged
the
planet
HEART
was born
All
in the
Universe
agreed
this was
a much
warmer
gentler
sphere
in which
to breed
new
men of love

poem of the day December 23

Though
mostly
forgotten
and
sometimes
in
short
supply
There
is a
weapon
so powerful
It is
able
to defuse
even the
most
hostile
of enemies
It is
known
to all
the world
as love

poem of the day December 22

The masses
were
gathered
around
the darkness
Wandering
blindly
in the
wilderness
Lost
in the
long
night
It was
alas
the darkest
hour
Most
had given
up hope
But just
Before
despair
Paul Revere
galloped
ahead of
the dawn
One by land
Two by sea
The
light
has returned
for all
to see

poem of the day December 21

There
was
light
and love
There
was
dark
and hate
Both were
mixed
into a
cake
Then
the cake
was
eaten
by God
Who
grew
A bit
of each
Inside
of You

poem of the day December 20

The wonderment
of a child
is a
fleeting
December
magic
only
glimpsed
by the
clear
eyes
of those
grown
children
remembering
times
that
were
lived
before

poem of the day December 19

My dog
ate my
poem
Gone are
the perfect
verses
My muse
is lost
You would
think
the dog
would
want
to help
in my
time of
writers
block
But no
All it
does is
wag its
Tail
Instead of
remembering
my tale

poem of the day December 18

Taken
from the
wild
A green tree
appears
inside
a warm
family
Tamed
with
lights
and
merry
fancy
Globes
of color
reflecting
smiles
as large
as cinnamon
candy
Making the
cut tree
alive
with
love of
dandy

poem of the day December 17

“Violence
would not
be half
as much fun
without
us guns”
Pistol
whipped
as they
were
being
fired
into
another
victim
“Just
think
how boring
it would
be if
people
were allowed
to hate
without
deadly
force"
Rifle
cracked
"Yes
We are
very lucky
to be
the
trigger
to their
killing
wheel of
desire"

poem of the day December 16

December still
at dusk I see
The snow on
branches white
and free
The Lose of sight
by dark forced night
brings
black blue
slow cold
silence to
the wane
of light

poem of the day December 15

Forgive
is hard
for people
too entrenched
in ideas
born of
their
own
importance
When
found in
leaders
it ends
in war
When
found
in dogs
it ends
in barking
When
found
in yourself
it’s time
to drop
the fear
of the
deer

poem of the day December 14

True
are
the eyes
of magic
Simple
sight
of life
The old
hand
warms
by the
fire
Soon
new
mittens
for cold
fingers
travel
lake
light
on sweet
dust
of future
past
Times
only
thought
of
in the
present
When
holding
the road
world of
magic
pearl
maps

poem of the day December 13

Old corn
fields
can hide
many
memories
inside
The cloud
of stalks
is like
a hawk
drifting
in a maze
of country
crows
seeking
egos
of long ago
The same
egos
painted
on the
side
of the
road
Saying
go for
the ride
or stay
inside

poem of the day December 12

Standing
seems
so simple
for a tree
Straight
up and
down
with
gravity
No need
for muscles
brains
or brawn
Just a
trunk
to face
the dawn

poem of the day December 11

Oh longevity
only you
can see
who will
live to be
a hundred
and three
You know
the moment
of every birth
how long
a soul will
travel
this earth
You are
the eye
of destiny
inside
every
ride of
eternity

poem of the day December 10

I wonder
what a
trip
to the
Mall
can
foretell
about
the habits
born
in shopping
hell
Too many
people
all in
a row
With
too many
stores
looking
for
Dough
Each
one has
a different
pitch
to capture
the spirit
of old
St. Nick

poem of the day December 9

Dog said
"Be careful
Don’t
try and
feed
the wild
monkeys
Otherwise
one might
end up
on your
back"

poem of the day December 8

Seasons
are simple
reminders
of time
spent
on the
Merry-go-round
enjoying
the same
circles
as other
simple
Folks
passing
through
the cosmic
glue

poem of the day December 7

I read
some
words
from
outer
space
Long
ago
before
the human
race
I drove
a spaceship
into
Mars
to see
how far
it was from
Oz

poem of the day December 6

“There is
Sex in
Everyone”
Desire lusted
to Repulsion
as Repulsion
pulled
away from
the embrace
“No that
can’t be”
Repulsion
moaned
“Not me
I am the
opposite
of you”
“Not so
I am not
Black and White
I have no
true
opposite”
Desire
smiled
eventually
finding
Repulsion's
well hidden
weakness

poem of the day December 5

“Since when
did free
speech
get
limited
to ideas
that only
conform
with
those in
power”
George Washington
asked
Thomas Jefferson
when they
found
themselves
unexpectedly
time warped
into the
twenty-first century
“I believe it
all started
with money
when our
idea of a
impartial
supreme court
got bought
by  extremely
rich
powerful
self-intentioned
righteous
bigots”
Sadly
both men
shook
their
heads
America
was now
only the
shell
of the
founding
fathers
dream

poem of the day December 4

The wind
brings
time
from
far away
Shooting
arrows
like an
archer
Most
miss
the
castle
But
some
pierce
the inner
soul
with
shivering
thoughts
born
long
ago

poem of the day Dec 3

It just
occurred
to me
The
word
Danger
contains
the word
Anger
which
has me
wondering
Is it
just a
coincidence
Or the
universal
recipe
for disaster?
