poem of the day November 30
Day before December
and we are losing light
two minutes a day
A slow drip of a time candle
I am trying to make myself
a boat in this darkness
hoping to float toward
the sun that I know
is waiting at the end of the tunnel

poem of the day November 29
snags happen
lures get stuck
kites hit trees
ropes do tangle
cars break down
now I understand
smile to frown

poem of the day November 28
Life has landed on Mars
grown in a love vessel
that has lasted months
A new soul has started
the first breath of his journey
surrounded by unconditional love

poem of the day November 27
Sitting by the stove
watching snow fall
on the morning light
Shadows lift off time
evaporating all dreams
gathered in the night

poem of the day November 26
It would be
a much better world
a more harmonious world
a more giving world
if only Shakespeare
had let Romeo and Juliet
live a long life together
in a land full of eternal love

poem of the day November 25
I often wonder
where one goes
when the water
runs out of hose
For all connections from
a long loved bell
start as sap within the well

poem of the day November 24
I am wishing for tomorrow
while living through today
Got my inclination
in time and space
dressed up in
an imagination
of the future
playing in a band
with a song of the past
presently waiting in the boredom
for the morning train

poem of the day November 23
The collective soul
immersed in humanity
has no rules of sanity
Only the force of power
controlled by wind-full flows
whether guns or words
by devils or gods
The sea still tides
with the light of the lamb
reflects these verses
upon the man
We stand on the beach
of right and wrong
The face on the nation
Frosted pillar of stone

poem of the day November 22
The road was lit with candles
The light cast upon the highway
merged shadow like with moon sips
I drank in the fairy land luster
watching the history of time
Roman chariots
Prairie wagons
Pontiacs and Fords
I saw foot prints
both soul and soulless
wandering in all directions
covering the sea with
a carpet of karma
weaving the past and present
into the vastness
we all call home

poem of the day November 21
"Why is love so strange insane?"
asked Water of the falling Rain
"It takes the tunnel of the drain
for love to change from strange to sane"
Rain answered Water on the plane
while both were flying love clouds toward Spain

poem of the day November 20
The Robots are coming
The Robots are coming
One if through man
Two if through screen
The robots are coming
Nightmare or dream?

poem of the day November 19
A run down fence
overgrown with time
holds no livestock
other then memories
of strong old farmers
plowing the imagination
of long lost lives

poem of the day November 18
Watching rage on TV
Don't know whether it is
man made or natural
But I am not talking
about the weather
How did hate become
so common?
Was is just
to star
in the tar
of an unsettled movie?
Yet we all stay tuned
waiting for the sequel
Buying lottery tickets
where one day
the boats are so full
of greed they implode
only to sink
into the great mire
of lost bottom egos
There they litter the abyss
next to the God they use
to rape love into desire
All this fortune
was foretold by
the sex robots
full of unwanted
human traits
yet irresistible
like a good red apple

poem of the day November 17
I see the simmer
of the silhouette
Tiny branches tingling
through the frost of dawn
Though there was no wind
to move this beauty
so stark against
the fallen snow
I knew the story
that was being told
the old maple was shivering
from the silent cold

poem of the day November 16
Snow changes the landscape
Snow covers imperfection
Covers the discarded
making the forgotten appear
as beautiful bounded royal angels
A winter nest for drifting dreams
I am looking out the window
watching falling white flakes
fill the farm with lovely fragile eggs
marveling at the slow dance of snowy romance
better then the running wet of raining water

poem of the day November 15
When a storm
is a brewing
we remember
all things
that were not done
In a panic
we see the approaching future
Snow blankets covering the easy
Pretty but with an unpleasant afterglow
But panic made me busy
and I am happy to say
the wood so very unattended all summer
is now stack in the shed
Every log split carefully
like seeds within a row
Only now I am very tired
from working all day long
and only want to dream
this night of warming pleasant poems

poem of the day November 14
"Why can't I find the way of the circle"
the lost hiker shouted in frustration
as the words began to echo
like a boomerang up the ridge
unaware of the roundness
that surrounds every mountain

poem of the day November 13
I have a new mantra
It appeared in
a far away dream
where imagination
becomes reality
Mind Thoughts
Stem Cells
Changed Cells
but only if one
believes in Santa Clause
and has the will to practice
these simple words

poem of the day November 12
To push or pull
to climb a hill?
Mind intent
OR
Brute force
It all depends
on your back of course
Sunday, November 11, 2018
poem of the day November 11
Bridges over rivers
many moons ago
ten sleeps from Nirvana
I saw the sunrise
come out of madness
with insane eyes
that could not cry
Saturday, November 10, 2018
poem of the day November 10
It was there
within the ruins
of a well eaten meal
Crumbs left for dog like men
who fought over every naked bone
The food had been chosen
to burn the promised land
And all eyes were on the fiddler
as he played the endless band

poem of the day November 9
A happy life within
frozen half circle lips
depends mile after mile
on whether one frowns
or whether one smiles
Thursday, November 8, 2018
poem of the day November 8
Apples and Oranges
both grow on trees
comparing them
as different is
a calculated way
of keeping fruit apart
Sort of like comparing
Black and White
faces of humans
as having nothing
in common but hate
though both grow on the tree of love

poem of the day November 7
Does sleep erase
the patina of life?
Clean the emotions
of the daily toil
stirred by thoughts
of pressures boiled?
I guess it depends
on the direction of
the galloping mare
and what one wears
when they go to the fair

poem of the day November 6
The soul lives
inside a hole
deep beneath
the bed of bones
in the vessel
we call home
Monday, November 5, 2018
poem of the day November 5
The leaves were behaving very human
They danced over the blacktop
playing like they owned the big top
Thousands of them were standing upright
twirling along in spontaneous choreograph perfection
I watched their performance in complete awe
spellbound as life began to arise
with just the wind to make leaves live

pom of the day November 4
We have lost savings time
Now back into real time
A see-saw of human delusion
based on nothing more then
the abstraction of pure light
that comes down from the sun
The same light as yesterday's time
except in the clocks of human minds
Saturday, November 3, 2018
poem of the day November 3
When a lodestar of understanding
breaks apart for all to see
Hidden anger will be in colored lifeboats
floating on an uneven sea
I saw the wise-en seagull flying
flying circles I had seen before
maybe in some fancy restaurant
just before some fancy war
Friday, November 2, 2018
poem of the day November 2
The creeping sound
of a dawn lit rain
awakens sleep
like an out of tune radio
seeping like wet plaster
into lovely dreams of far away delights
Thursday, November 1, 2018
poem of the day November 1
An floating soul gets lost
in a land of contracted minds
shrunken heads like prunes
watching imagination pour
out of little screens born of
someone else's mind
