poem of the day May 31

lilac breath
permeates purple
opening on a farm
The scent of amazing
reaches over everything
in a nirvana of flower haze
excuse me while I kiss the sky

poem of the day May 30

I watched the wave
of maple leaves
in windy early morn
Green surround
up and down
happy in the dawn
A simple branch
with simple thoughts
bend like all the rest
I can see this humble tree
as sun alights its breath

poem of the day May 29

A homemade
beaver pond
A vernal stream
growing into wetlands
Imagination becomes
a type of  helpful reality
found only in logs of mud
allowing tadpoles to dream of frog days

poem of the day May 28

WHO is watching
the human kingdom
as  wild herds
begin to stampede
out of their corrals
with no thought
of anything but
following the delusion
of the unmasked pied piper

poem of the day May 27

Thaw the frozen
Freeze the thaw
Rhyme poem with
right and wrong
love and hate
war and peace
Till the middle
line is reached

poem of the day May 26

walking worlds
alone together
a divided nation
forging a path
through a mad made wilderness
steep big wall between ideas
planks on the boardwalk
not enough nails to drive
into the wood of compromise

poem of the day May 25

Somewhere in the mind
is a place full of strange time
where random events jump
in seemingly senseless patterns
from realms to realms
sometimes hard to fathom
How these hours fit together
from scene to scene
is just a night of crazy dreams

poem of the day May 23

The birds are loud
making it hard to hear
gentle soft rain
Sounds covering sounds
Only a few faint drum drips
on an old tin roof escape
poem of the day May 24

The feeling
of peace
floats upon
an endless sea
as eyes within
the simple raft
dart the stones
thrown from angry  shores
and let them fall
to depths below
where peaceful current
can not live or go

poem of the day May 22

Last night I dreamed about
a new line of
ultra steamy swimwear
called the trikini?
A super revealing
three piece with
a sexy bottom
a sexy top
and a very sexy mask
Which I am sure will make for
some super hot social distancing
I wonder if the trikini will hit
the fashion market in time for
the summer beach season?

poem of the day May 21

A vast study
is happening
somewhere
deep within
To find the results
contact your
inner soul
It lives in
the house
called home

poem of the day May 20

Yum, they were serving
fried sun for dinner
The black hole was
very excited and hungry
about to devour part
of the Milky Way
The giant red giant
fought so valiantly
with a belly fire full
of extreme explosion
but was not able to
overcome the unrelenting
gravity of the situation
poem of the day May 19

pretending to have powers
to see truth as delusion
takes a lifetime to perfect
the confusion of mass illusion

poem of the day May 18

Had there been more hopeful dreams
in the darkest part of a black night
perhaps the void of uncertainty
would have disappeared into
a fairly good ending fairy-tail
far away from the fears of corona
which I wish was still just a beer with a twist of lime
poem of the day May 17

Expanding into
vast silence
A morning breath
settles like stillness
Covering yesterday
with a film of fresh time

poem of the day May 16

Light on yellow green leaves
as the sun pours into view
Bright clean morning after rain
Gentle wind very quiet and peaceful
I see the best of morning along with the birds
poem of the day May 15

 Another week
 where it snowed
 frosted and was cold
 Until yesterday
 which was really nice.
 Flowers are everywhere
 Welcome to Mid-time of May

poem of the day May 14

Everybody is a special temple
with an inner soul full of precious jewels
just waiting for the shine of  perfection
Though some red slippers need more clicking then others
we all have the power to enlighten our inner castle
The trick is allowing the eternal light to sparkle deep within

poem of the day May 13

Are rocks different
then souls of stones?
Boulders and pebbles
surround all the homes
From patio to path
From wall to foundation
I believe the difference is just
a human invention

poem of the day May 12

A good cup of tea
sipped very hot
in the early cold morning is
a ritual worth repeating
I heard one Robin say
as they all waited for the worms

poem of the day May 11

Kind long life
of old Sage Tree
growing next to
ancient stone wall
overlooking clear meadow
"Who moved a million rocks?"
I shouted to Sage Tree
Sage Tree by stone wall
waves in the wind
but does not answer me
"Oh please, please tell old tree"
poem of the day May 10

Summer birds singing
in a May snow
Singing about water
and why must it flow
With specks of white
on day dawn so cold
causing all of the worms
to stay deep in their holes
poem of the day May 9

The big trees
have new leaves
The buds broke
somewhere in
the last few days
in the warm sun
Made me dream
that the leaves were
waves of friends
with open arms
blooming new life
into the trunk of
an unsettled humanity

poem of the day May 8

The art of forgotten time
A rusty car in the woods
full of early 1930 deco lines
has merged with the flora
of growing weed like vines
Working their way in a living creation
to the tip of an old chrome pitted falcon
that sit on the hood still proud and waiting

poem of the day May 7

Each day
a new light
illuminates
an old painting
for a few minutes
in the early morning
bringing the canvas to life
with tangible qualities the artist
keeps hidden unless you are up
when the sun rises over the landscape
poem of the day May 6

The vision of
a visionary
who was born
of Virgin Mary
did not live
to see his dream
the shining light
pure great love beam

poem of the day May 5

When old
becomes new
Where wet
becomes dry
we sit like frogs
catching grandmother's flies
on a floating log
from a tree long ago
there is so much comfort
in the new old we know

poem of the day May 4

Stillness
to be
without
inner
outer
clutter
is as
fleeting
as dawn
before

sunrise

poem of the day May 3

Everybody is on
a-walk-a-bout now
in the new wilderness
of  personal space
No long intimate touches
just a cave of sprouted words
both tender and raw
full of poignant emotions
It is a challenging  quest
like climbing Mt Everest
Only these distant mountains
are surrounded by pools
of tiny shark filled fear
Very difficult  to overcome
Very lonely to explore without

some light of self love

poem of the day May 2

Peaches
with buds
big eyed
full of surprise
just like love
warmed sun
after a few
tears of
cold rain

poem of the day May 1

Time never
can be replayed
just like a question
without an answer
Sometimes though
time escapes the trap
to sit on a fancy fence
somewhere in the middle
of the yellow brick road
