poem of the day February 26
The moon was strong
with lots of light
I watched it
on the fallen snow
Illuminating a wonderland
where shadows peak from
the souls of secret trees
Painted patterns up and down
forming words on the lovely snowy white
I think about what these shadows
may or may not say
as dawn arrives to start the day

poem of the day February 19
Ode to those colors
found inside of all us we
Try to see them very well
with vivid clarity
Red heart happy
Blue kidney clear
Yellow intestine confident
Green liver courage cheer
Pearly white lung inhales joy
from the mother Milky Way
where colors sing a soulful song
with a pitch of perfect harmony

poem of the day February 15
The idea of promise
The idea of hope
requires no tools
only a desire to believe
but in a world full
of soulful delusion
a mind can become trapped
by False hopes
by False promises
making wishing especially hard
for all of us floating
in this diluted sea of truth
seeking a reason to believe

poem of the day February 10
Remarkable how
constant incitement can
cause a flash mob
to storm the sacred mountain
Explode into events like volcanos
And then after the waves hit the beach
use the very same water
to mix with sand to gaslight the shore
Allowing the genie back in the bottle
forming a new reality until the storm did not happen
especially in the minds of elected clams
who drink the closed bones of mad kool-aid

poem of the day February 6
Times moves
along so quickly
Quicker than Buck Rogers
blasting into the future
on a rocket made of yesterday's space suit
Makes me wonder
What is the future?
Is it a Robot named Tobor?
Will someone invent a new toilet?
Have Martians landed on Mars?
The confusion of speculation
multiplied by time is an equation
that must to be allowed to ripen
in both the imagination and on the vine

poem of the day February 4
A book with no pages
just an old outer binder
holding together a
story full of imagination
The hero is living among
all the daily toil
eating the daily bread
Floating an uncharted course
over uncontrollable waves
The first chapter begins
with a birth, the soul
of a new novel
bounded only by an old womb
handed down through generations
