poem of the day February 9

On the long
walk of the useless
they finally made it
to the supermarket
of excuses
Where to everyone's delight
was row after
row of roadblocks
carefully arranged
to slow the spirit of the soul
First stop was the isle
of procrastination
to pick up some
Do It Later
then on to the life
of tedious toil
for some
List Of Sperm Count Soup
The row of too busy
had too many choices
but they finally settled for
More Later
The section of fear
was full of abuse
ranging from the frozen
I Know They'll Change
to the very hot
If Only I Had Not Said That
By the time they got
to the check out
all were exhausted
from pushing their cart full
of superficial delusion
The Check out clerk asked
"Are you sure you have everything?"
All nodded until they got outside
where they remembered
they had not gotten
any of that
I Can't Do It
and had to rush back in
to keep well being at bay
