Everybody wants to be an old soul
whether or not they remember
or even believe in past lives
But why does everybody want to be an old soul?
Because old souls are wise from many lifetimes
and know the many passages of time
But why is that an aspiring virtue?
Does not it mean you have been
reliving the same stale karma for generations
soul trapped on the wheel of suffering?
Maybe it is better to be a new soul
A fresh visitor just out of the primordial womb
able to feel the intense purity of first life
