poem of the day September 25

From far away
I could not tell
if it was a leaf
or a butterfly
It danced long on
the meadow top
to skim the grass
of lollipops
The colors of this UFO
merged a monarch
with a maple leaf
And although I did not
get close enough
I enjoyed this flutter
of Autumn fluff
