poem of the day November 26

Like all of you

I am looking

forward to eating

too much food

enjoying some

lively spirits

while celebrating

Thanksgiving 

Especially this year

where the solitude

of necessity gives 

a place for reflection

where we can all

come to the understanding

that even though

we can not all be together

everything is not all bad

because a table with fewer 

friends and family 

means more great food 

for everyone including

you and  me so

have a happy turkey!
