The tradition of a

tree inside a house

begins with the sacrifice

of a living giving tree

A green soul gives its fleeting life

to brighten the lives of others

who celebrate that surrender

by placing the tree in a place of honor

where a rainbow of lights and

old fancy ornaments handed

down in families for generations

transform the tree into a Christmas tree

Fresh each year with a new scent of joy 

a special place for the love of toys
