poem of the day January 27
I wish
I lived
in a time
When words
When ideas
were young
Had not
been used
over and over
again and again
in poems written
by poets, women
and ordinary men
When each thought
was fresh, just
thought of on the spot
Brand spanking new
had not been dissected
in a million essays or two
Cause it all boils down
when refined by the math
to the first question ever asked
It was the one written
and posed throughout
all of humanity
The question of course
To Be or Not to Be?

poem of the day January 18
The light ofa light bulb
The light
of the sun
Man Made
Nature Made
Artificial or Genuine
In this Unnatural Natural
ping pong game of Man versus Nature
Which master does humanity desire?
I am going to give this some
very serious consideration
but right now I don't have time
for such deep compilation
For I am in the midst of deciding
My New World Order
What to drink Soda or Water?

poem of the day January 15
It was a crazy
far fetched idea
Monetizing
the nightly dreams
of everyone
No one thought
them valuable
until someone
started selling
trademarked
Dream Vacations
Personalized
Vacations of a lifetime
a new trip every night
to a different place
in your own dreams
without ever leaving home
This super affordable vacation
to parts unknown
of course soon became
the vacation of choice
The biggest grossing
hospitality ever for
the leisure industry
Where for 4 easy payments of 49.99
you get a dreaming outfit
that to most non dreamers
looks a lot like expensive pajamas

poem of the day January 7
Some ethereal clouds
lose their reputations
all their mojo
when they come
into vision
I was at the door
filling in for
the gatekeeper
when one of these
big huge clouds
came flying by
For a few
quick seconds
it became
crystal clear
that perhaps
I was seeing
too much detail
and not enough big picture

poem of the day January 3
Before
fashion
Before
fascism
the caves were
big huge bears
strutting survival
of the strong
unawares of
the power of vanity
It wasn't until the raccoons
picked up ochre
and accidentally painted man
with a bear tooth necklace
that the walls began to
decorate the mind
in a mirrored reflection
of the possibilities of power
