poem of the day October 29 

First light of Sun

arrived before the stars

had left the night

Dawn's early eye appeared 

to open the horizon

as it gathered strength

The Milkyway was pushed

into the westward sky

where it clung to all its stars

I watched them  faded one by one

until all I saw was Mars
