A comet of 50,000 years ago

has appeared in the February sky

Where has it been?

What worlds has it traveled?

Does it carry hitchhikers?

Perhaps some space junk

revolving around a distant planet

unknown to us Earthlings?

How does it remember 

the same highway

in a Milky Way full

of stars that all look the same?

Are there celestial road signs 

space grooves to light the way?

Does a comet ever take a path less traveled?
