poem of the day December 2 How did
How did
The leaning tower of Pisa
an over detailed superficial
badly engineered steeple that should
have been condemned
and torn down centuries ago
become one of
the seven wonders of the world?
A folly universally revered
as a monument to the greatness of mankind
A leaning masterpiece
famous for its imperfection.
An iconic temple of failure
A misplaced pillar celebrating
the futileness of delusion
full of the idea that a drowning man can
overcome the waves of nature
