Deciduous trees are

starting to tinge

Tingle with

an autumn glow

Some showoffs

Early maples

are already

strutting 

their colors

But not all trees

are celebrating

Nearby pines

and evergreens

are sadly huddled 

in their groves

intently watching

Forever green with envy
