poem of the day June 8 

Each day

We are slipping 

back into

the dark past of 

ugly humanity

with utter lack

of understanding

of the future

or anything 

except the greed

of personal gain

This new hatred

is the mark

of a failed nation

Accepting the will

of a mad man

with low morality

and high cruelty

should be unacceptable 

even to those who

were duped or scared 

into being

true believers

Wake up America

before it is too late

for history 

not to repeat itself
