poem of the day March 15


I did not have a plan

to be iron chief

until my dream

drafted me

So I winged it with the classic:

Stoned Soup

But not just everyday stone soup

I used granite from Vermont

a very special New England stone

They say the flavor

of carrot, beet, onion

works well  with the

heavy greed pallet

full of gold, silver,

copper over tones

So simple

yet will not spoil

unless one toils

with the idea 

of oil
