poem of the day October 26

Gold diggers
were clamming
at low tide
with fake rakes
Catching pearls
hiding inside old men
in need of pills
All knew the game was fixed
The smart money was not on
the white caged unicorn
unaware of the trap
There the greed of fate
raced by puritanical reins
confused the truth
for what life is worth
