poem of the day May 13

Digging a stump
Removing the root
buried in past lives
Each limb gripping
the long ago home
The seasoned years
full of yesterday
The mound of flesh
still entrenched with
the fire of entwined force
making the tractor squeal
while I am driving
the center wheel
