poem of the day June 8

Sometimes to climb a mountain
you have to take down a mountain
Empty the volcanoes
Empty the fear born of circumstance
Be an alpine stream
Clear translucent waves
to wear away thick black rocks
left over from colliding emotions
Carry the soiled turmoil of centuries
to the calm sea of humanity
that waits within you and me
like the stillness of good coffee
