The only cure was poison
and the Earth sadly knew it would have
to give up trees and bees
to be rid of the plague of humanity
It had tried love and even tried
the idea of a God
but the ignorance of human worship
turned hot spots of desire into hateful religion
that grew into the carnage greed of war
Eventuality this insatiable selfish immoral quest of mankind
gave the Earth the idea of the cure that would be known as global warming
