Summer is drifting by

The world is drifting by
I see the hesitation 
through the masks
of Romeo and Juliet
The bravado of fear
The submission of fear
Time rides over the long days
anticipating an eruption 
A hurricane of humanity
that even Shakespeare
dared not dream about
