poem of the day June 6 

The transition

from mask 

to unmask

is an interesting

human journey

Today at the flea

the mask mandate is lifted

but many kept them on

while many others flaunted 

their liberated baby faces

I sat on the fence

hanging my mask 

off one ear cowboy style 

so I could be in the saddle 

like a good mirror image

ready at a moment's notice

bareback or covered

depending one's masking
