poem of the day March 2 

Some birds

squawk louder

than others

Are they just

a bunch of

hot chickadees 

letting off steam

or do they have

something 

important to say?

I see a lot

of  loud people 

mostly politicians 

dressed like peacocks

screaming on TV

passionately spouting

words of no importance

and I am wondering

if our winged friends

are of our same feather

perhaps the answer lies

in more exploration of

the avian human connection 

while we all fly around the world

looking like dodo birds
