poem of the day July 14
The daily parts
of each and every day
unfold as dawn
makes it way
up a lighted mountain
Where lunch is served
until rush hour
Then a giant snake
clogs the highway
till after dinner
when dusk takes
away the last hints
of a single sun
Allowing dreams
to pour out
of the Milky Way
that leave just
before I wake
into another dawn
reminding me
of the total sum
of familiar security
