poem of the day July 2 

My simple mind

does not understand

the evolution of nature

Sometimes it makes

absolutely no sense 

For instance:

Why do honey bees

all die after they sting?

What exactly do 

they get out of

immediately dying

once they attack?

Is it euphoric enlightenment?

Seems like a pretty

steep price to pay

for an instant flash 

of uncontrolled emotion
