poem of the day August 12
Evolution
of summer
Devolution
of light
Lazy dogs
barely barking
at young deer
who have lost
their spring spots
Days losing time
but still gaining heat
just in time
for an army of
singing crickets
beginning their
grand happy march
Zip-A-Dee-Doo Dah
Zip-A-Dee Day
plenty of sunshine
on a mid-summer day
