poem of the day November 9 

There is

too much 

of drought

There is 

too much

of rain

Calm & Storm

Sun and Water

no longer 

mix very well

and now prefer

to be entrenched 

in their own dogma

amplifying their extremes

as they chase each other

around the mulberry Earth

expanding the great divide

that pits the life forces

of fire and rain

against each other

leaving those struggling trees

wishing for a manless miracle
