Pick today

a random day

out of a deck

of many days

Then study

those cards 

this day you hold

as  the sun comes up

and life unfolds

Will anything be influenced

by a remembered dream

a deadline of time

in a familiar routine 

or will something 

spontaneously appear

Novel and new

to change the course

of what you will do?
