A letter from
two hundred years ago
bought at an antique show
had handwriting better
then my typing
proposing a business
of penmanship
to promote some product
Maybe sell a trip
It was written in 1800
and I will have to say
that his form that day
was extraordinary
Way out of the ordinary
Reminding me that script
once part of the ship
Now no longer taught
was then
the voice of the pen
