poem of the day November 16

When alone
in your home
with the plight
of your strife
Are you thinking of that
or are you
contemplating life?
And what do you do
if a friend calls?
Do you open yourself
or do you close on the wall?
Many questions
arise at the dawn
of the day
Where decisions are made
in haphazard ways
So toast the night
as it enters your room
But realize the moment
has passed with the moon
