I am looking at the painting
within the painting
the soul within the soul
beneath the canvas
beneath the aged skin
past the varnish applied by outside eyes
trying to make the connection
the original primordial connection
between emotion light and form
that gives life to ideas
that spring from the deep depths
of eternal art drops one brush stroke at a time
