The daffodils

of  Mohawk Trail

planted all 

those years ago

by the West County

Daffodil Underground

are up again

about to bloom

I want to thank

the secret society

of green thumbs

who risk their lives

to plant the gold 

that lines

the sides of

the yellow bulb road
