poem of the day June 14 

In our bountiful

world of plenty

there is more

than enough

of everything

for everybody

Yet somehow

in this world

of very plenty

there is not enough

of plenty for everybody

People are starving

Wars are raging

Greed is growing

And the only thing

now of very plenty 

with more than enough 

of everything for everybody

Abundantly found 

in every corner

of every state

is the invasive flower

bloom of ugly hate

So in this land

of very plenty 

we must change

our inner direction

and  approach

life as friendlies 

to get back to having

what the earth provides

Enough of everything 

for everybody

no matter their lives
