poem of the day June 9
The eyes froze
the willing souls
as they led
the way into
the screen door
full of all sorts
of distractions
Everything from
laughing babies
shooting machine guns
To the food served
at death row dinners
From dogs thinking
they are more cat
than cats
To cartoon games
full of ugly avatars
seeking sex
with strangers in hot cars
These lines of
artificial addiction
bring all sorts of
fleeting enlightenments
to the blinded eyes
now owned by
the light of big
unstoppable screens
Where unknowing souls
have walked through open doors
to star as willing zombies
in the great zombie apocalypse
