poem of the day April 10

a blue jay
a robin
a cardinal
and a chickadee
were outside my window
oblivious of me
the robin was worming
the bluejay was loud
the chickadee was tiny
the cardinal was proud
i thought of the birds
as they flew around the farm
wondering what they thought
of this mid April dawn

poem of the day April 9

matching
light of
dusk & dawn
dawn & dusk
seesawed
back and forth
day to night
night to day
appearing as
twins sentries
two monks at pray

poem of the day April 8

Wednesday sun
rises up
and over
the hump
of midweek
illuminating
a path down
the mountain
for those at work

poem of the day April 7

The yearly
thrill of
daffodil
yellow star
of everywhere
open spring
sunlight sign
daffodils of
fine divine

poem of the day April 4

an amazing
amount of time
of energy is
spent on
very determined
tunnel vision folly
where the power of
misguided dreams
flow out of the fountain
under extreme pressure
fueled by the emotions
of unbridled power
that sweeps up
all those within the way

poem of the day April 3

The eternal
stream
keeps
traveling
along
Carrying
all those things
inside & outside
of a mortal mind
Merrily dreaming along
very happy to be
rowing the boat
gently down the stream

Thursday, April 2, 2026

poem of the day April 2

outside
cold & wet
no bird songs
persistent drizzle
muffles sound
falling slow
over a slippery dawn
glistening everything

poem o the day April 1

a meadow ox
happy as can be
having a reflective
peaceful moment
in the meadow
looking out over
the wonderful hue
of early spring

poem of the day March 31

It was
a grand gobbling
turkey time
A fine feathered
jamboree
The Toms were
all flexing
their beards
feathers spread
strutting their stuff
The Hens were
all flocked up
milling around
like virgin
potato ladies
judging farmboys
i could tell as
I was driving by
it would soon
become quite a lively affair

poem of the day March 30

Wondering
about
magic carpets
Where I can
find one
Wondering
like how
would I know
if I had one?
Be a bummer to have one
and not know it
Wondering
how fast
how high
they can fly
Wondering
how much fun
it would be
to ride one?

poem of the day March 29

if you had
a rubber band
that would
stretch out over
an entire land
how could you
trust it to
an amoral man
who only cares
about hair and tan?

Saturday, March 28, 2026

poem of the day March 28

Does the candle
light  the way
or does the candle
light you?
Is it better to
shine a light
into the shadows
or from the shadows?
All these thoughts
were  going through
the soul of the sun
as it rose over
the darkness into
every possible
nook and cranny

poem of the day March 27

As I expected
after seeing
the deer herd
I am afraid
the situation
is getting worse
I am sure
the deer have
paid off the dogs
who just sit there
and let them roam
close to the farmhouse
were the yummie
flowers soon will be
I swear i even saw a buck
hand the dogs a chipmunk

poem of the day March 26

A vernal stream
has appeared
fueled by
melting snow
Energy changing
The old land
once again guides
spring water as
winter drains into
the familiar
path of least resistance

Wednesday, March 25, 2026

poem of the day March 25

bad spring sign
especially for
summer crops
A 10 deer herd
was lining both sides
gleefully standing around
the bare earth of my garden
as if waiting for me
to plant their vegetables

Tuesday, March 24, 2026

poem of the day March 24

And sometimes
those beats
were just down
the street
jiving in
some kind
of song
They were
twisting the roots
off some fine
looking spruce
as the sun
rose over the morn
Their beautiful
dance was
only by chance
Spontaneous
as spontaneous
can be
All was gone
in a flash
run out of gas
Until Alice
appeared with her tea

Monday, March 23, 2026

poem of the day March 23

the moment
was in such
a hurry
it did not
have anytime
to stop
for anything
not even for
one tiny second
It was so annoying

Sunday, March 22, 2026

poem of the day March 22 I threaten you

I threaten you
You threaten me
a ping pong game
without diplomacy
Played by men
who just can't see
further than their vanity

poem o the day March 21

Night dreams
over
Day dreams
begin
Consciousness
guards
change
within
But I have kept
a couple
of dreams
that
overlap
I wonder what
day & night
will think of that?

Friday, March 20, 2026

poem of the day March 20

Patches
of earth
emerge daily
Snow retreats
effortlessly
Rings around
big trees grow
in perfect circles
The meadow
looks like
a chessboard
All are waiting for
the sun to rise
with the first
move of spring

Thursday, March 19, 2026

poem of the day March 19

The reason
why peace
love & happiness
are so elusive
So rare to achieve
is  their acceptance
of everybody's everything
making it nearly impossible to
match the popularity of
selfish ignorant grievance
which thrives by nonacceptance
Where division is cultivated daily
to express the overwhelming emotions
required to fuel the anger needed for
war hate & unhappiness

Wednesday, March 18, 2026

poem of the day March 18

It was a very
black & white
question no one
had asked before
If a lighthouse
lights the way
to avoid danger
to avoid the bad
Does a darkhouse
black the way
to avoid safety
to avoid the good?

Tuesday, March 17, 2026

poem of the day March 17

The tippy tops
of old feral spruce
Wild Christmas trees
are jiving overtime
in a March wind
Free dancing
a grand  boogie woogie
as they wait
for sunrise

Monday, March 16, 2026

poem o the day March 16

Sometimes
it just
makes
sense
when in
a hurry
to travel
in a green
submarine
instead of
a yellow one
Cause as
the captain says
Green is go
full speed ahead

Sunday, March 15, 2026

poem of the day March 15

thinking about
all those rainbows
that appear for
no reason from
somewhere behind
the misty veil of
sunny raindrops
to bloom into
a magic light show
where colors arch
out over the Earth
like imagination
becoming reality

Saturday, March 14, 2026

poem of the day March 14

In delusion
the illusion
is always
a perfect
reflection
of  a shallow mirror
playing the perfection game
Only the inconvenient truth
sees deep into the soup
the imperfection
within perfection framed

Friday, March 13, 2026

poem of the day March 13

In a day
full of
sunshine
promise
A hawk
circled around
owning the sky
I don't think
I saw its wings
flap even once

Thursday, March 12, 2026

poem of the day March 12

I am here to report
the outer space station
has successfully docked
up to the giant black hole thing store
All the well dressed brave astronauts
have disembarked
armed with space age shopping bags
and have entered the hole of extreme temptation
As a nation we wish them the best of luck
knowing the risks they face of being
trapped like most others before them
into a one way journey
full of things found in
the black hole store of desire

Wednesday, March 11, 2026

poem of the day March 11

War is good
for predatory business
for extreme market swings
Where the art of trading lives
for big globs of blood money
has become for the most powerful
a well dressed obsesion
fueled by using greasy grimy gopher guts
of inside information
full of souls of mutilated monkey meat
All while greedily wearing
the insincere fake white hat of disrespectful
disingenuous self serving compassion

Tuesday, March 10, 2026

poem of the day March 10

Sun seems
determined
Snow melts early
Morning light
shines strong
on packed ice
Bringing  tears
to a long winter's face

Monday, March 9, 2026

poem of the day March 9

sugar bubbles
golden tan
fire hot like
summer sand
amber color
burning wood
maple syrup
tastes so good

Sunday, March 8, 2026

 poem of the day March

melting snow
mixing dirt
making mud
the road a mess
a river of quicksand
on a  big dog's chest
Ho Ho Ho such
a puddle of fun

Saturday, March 7, 2026

a poem of the day March 7

Long old abandoned
but still with a view
humbled on the road
with an invisible hue
Big trees lined up
very side by side
in the evening air
of the countryside
The old place is now
a new restaurant
that has somehow
landed in the hills
of Charlemont
It made me think of
other fallen places passed
that find some way
to be reborn and recast

poem of the day March 6

Seems like
disinformation
is easy
to find
just about
everywhere
No more whispers
hiding in the shadows
Disinformation
has gone mainstream
Everything is out
in the open
and coming
directly from
the very top
Where it is
being sold
as truth

Thursday, March 5, 2026

poem of the day March 5

These were just
country squirrels
not Buddhist squirrels
I watched them
ballroom dancing
on a lovely rock
sticking out
of the snow
I was going to join them
in a late winter dance
but before I could
the lovely pair had scurried away

Wednesday, March 4, 2026

poem of the day March 4

Some
sunrises
seem
to be
more
lightful
insightful
delightful
More open
to embracing
the desires
The needs
of a messy morning
than working on perfecting
their own ancient art of rising

Tuesday, March 3, 2026

poem of the day March 3

When down
in the deep body
diving toward genesis
Somewhere in
the primordial
space that exists
between atoms
That deep space
where light is DNA
All unvarnished souls
sing fine songs
with an universal ring
Songs able to include
the possibilities of everything

Monday, March 2, 2026

poem of the day March 2

Blood Moon
Fire Horse
do unite
The harmonic
very rare
coincidence
Convergence
of a blood
red moon
Known
throughout
the world
as an omen
of  evil
Will tonight
light the way
providing an inferno
for the unstable fire horse
to carry as it gallops into
an apocalypse of insanity

Sunday, March 1, 2026

poem of the day March 1

A sweet
innocent
cozy light
slowly
appeared
at dawn
soft and nimble
Allowing pines
to sway
back and forth
as if charmed by
the moment
I watched
in tune with
all of them
looking for
a rabbit
to welcome
the first of March

poem of the day February 28

When a madman
is allowed to
rule the greatest
nation in the world
for his own cruel satisfaction
His own selfish profit
with no checks or balances
Using endless war
as a distraction
to hide his fearful
delusional insecurity
It is time for all Americans
old young liberal conservative
to take to  the streets
in order to save the soul of democracy

Friday, February 27, 2026

poem of the day February 27

I am looking
at all the nervous evergreens
rustling in the wind
Pines, Spruce, Firs
as they jockey for position
knowing they
only have
a few more weeks
of lovely sun
to themselves
before the resting trees
awaken from their winter sleep

Thursday, February 26, 2026

poem of the day February 26

the heart
resides
in the place
of honor
where it
beats
every second
of a lifetime
fueled by
the power of love

Wednesday, February 25, 2026

poem of the day February 25

Everybody
Everywhere
from here
to there
No matter
the color
of their hair
are born on
Mother Earth
the land of plenty
Yet on Mother Earth
now controlled
by a gang of twenty
Those with nothing
are considered
the undeserving
wretched enemy

Tuesday, February 24, 2026

poem of the day February 24

Space is
a dangerous place
full of bounty hunters
Black hole
star collectors
hunt stars
that drift
too far away
from the fold
of the Milky Way
Lured in by
the irresistible
weight of gravity
The poor lonely
stars become
trapped into
the insatiable
force of darkness
where for
the unfortunate
there is no known escape

Monday, February 23, 2026

poem of the day February 23

The old
village church
after many years
of celebrating
the life of souls
was well versed
in the art of remembrance
to be of great comfort
to those gathered
in its sanctuary
I felt the poignant walls
open lovingly
providing
all the solace
to embrace the essence
of the eternal flame

Sunday, February 22, 2026

poem of the day February 22

inside body
lives a mind
mind in body
intertwined
tied in sickness
tied in health
tied together
by everything else
mind leads body
body leads mind
over and over
on the living line

poem of the day February 21

Immortality
we all desire it
hope for it
Yet unaware
we are
all immortal
in mortal bodies
All of us should
rejoice in this
universal  truth
Everyone is
very immortal
until the day
we die
then we are not
A simple concept
easy to understand
within the eternal line
found between
the magic space
life and death

Friday, February 20, 2026

poem of the day February 20

the edge
of a storm
calm grey
quiet light
circles over
a silent sunrise
joining hands with
a poignant sky
slowing time into
an exquisite pace
where all wait
for the first flake
of many flakes to fall

Thursday, February 19, 2026

poem of the day February 19

sometimes
inside of dreams
are places
where reality
will flow
in a certain
kind of self-awareness
allowing
the dreamer
a lucid path
in which to
explore their
deepest most secret
consciousness

Wednesday, February 18, 2026

poem of the day February 18

with so
many dreams
inside so
many souls
it must be
impossible
for each dream
to be original
unless all
of us souls
are the unoriginal
reborn copies
made of recycled humanity

poem of the day February 17

I woke up
horrified
to find I have
a free ranging
bug zoo
An insectarium
living the good life
free loading in
my living room
Spider
Stink Bug
Wasp
Ladybug
and  Big Black Fly
Mostly invasive
undocumented
non American pests
from other lands
threatening my way of life
I think I will have
to call the president
before the cockroaches arrive
and have him order
the homeland
to surge an ice raid
and exterminate
the Un-American freeloading buggers

Monday, February 16, 2026

poem of the day February 16  Light as

Light as
early as
early dawn
Yawns, spawns
an ocean of clouds
Holding stillness
without any effort
So all souls
awake or asleep
can expand imagination
into far reaching realities

Sunday, February 15, 2026

poem of the day February 15

the old rusty
antique tractor
abandoned
for years
in the meadow
where it
broke down
after a long life
of endless toil
still retains
enough green paint
to be a proud John Deere
a church like sanctuary
where sometimes while driving by
I spot a herd of deer gathered round it

Saturday, February 14, 2026

poem of the day February 14

I went
to visit
the hermit
yesterday
Someone
has given him
a smartphone
and a new addiction
We spent a pleasant afternoon
going down the rabbit hole
looking up randomness
happily reminiscing about
how far we all have come since
the golden olden good old days before VCRs

Friday, February 13, 2026

poem of the day February 13

The missing link
of humanity
The survival of the fittest
once served emotions
raw and uncooked
in order to save
the species from
wild monstrous beasts
Now with the wild tamed
Humanity has been
thoroughly brainwashed from
eating to many processed ideas
full of shiny distractions
shown daily on the big screen
Emotions are now slow cooked
to be devoid of compassion
Programed souls are left
to boil in a stew of war
There the survival of the species
has been slowly supplanted
by the cunning survival of the mega rich

Thursday, February 12, 2026

poem of the day February 12

I can tell
by the ring
around their trunks
the poor maples
are all having
serious bouts
of cabin fever
Are going crazy
after spending
the long winter
stuck underground
in their root basement
binging on
nothing but
sugar water
Before the trees go insane
I do hope the sun
comes out
with a blast of
warm sugar weather
and lets the maples
escape  their hovel
to begin the sweet spring race
up to the tips of their branches

Wednesday, February 11, 2026

poem of the day February 11

frozen ice
on the Deerfield
has opened
a glimpse into
the secret
unknown world
of never ending water
as it moves
down toward
the sea
Many including me
have spotted
the clear vertical
wall of ice
that has risen
in the middle
of the oxbow
revealing for all
the back fin of
the very illusive
almost always hidden
winding river god

Tuesday, February 10, 2026

poem of the day February 10

the squirrels
living in the walls
of the Buddhist center
were looking
well fed, fat
very enlightened
as they
circled around
the bottom of
the squirrel proof
bird feeder
content to
catch the seeds
as they dropped
effortlessly from
the beaks of
Buddhist birds

poem of the day February 9

l was
looking
up at
the night sky
full of bright
beautiful wishing stars
thinking about
making a wish
But with so many stars
already being wished on
by so many souls
How does one know
which stars
have already
run out of wishes?

poem of the day February 8

When light
straddles over
a reluctant dawn
the ending night
becomes the home
There the twix
of time does
provide pixie dust
for all that wait
Especially those
in need of fate

poem of the day February 7

When you
board the boat
of imbalance
Don't wear
slippery shoes
Be sure to grip
handles as needed
And when you
get to the wheelhouse
Turn the wheel
into the direction
of a good satisfying life

Friday, February 6, 2026

poem of the day February 6

The bin
is getting
empty of
all things
original
Cobwebs
have grown
over almost
everyone
involved
with any of it
I have even
heard of trapped
souls in search
of originality
free falling
into the abyss
Where they now
forever linger at
the  brainwashed bottom
stuck in zombie thoughts

poem of the day February 5

There is
a reason for
spinning out
the light
There is
a season
where all
can be right
Finding a place
to all get along
that is the reason
for being human

poem of the day February 4

Life sort
of tangles
across time
Stumbles
its way over
everything
big and small
Yet somehow
manages to
walk every road
all the way to the end

Tuesday, February 3, 2026

poem of the day February 3

If you dropped
into a body
from outer space
after a night
of cosmic dreaming
armed only with
the roadmap
of human perfection
Knowing nothing
of the aches and pains
within the body
you jumped into
Even though it was
your own body
The one you live in
Could you overcome
your familiar roads of suffering
to try the different
less traveled path
of human perfection

poem of the day February 2

time is
the ultimate
perishable
commodity
unable to be stored
unable to be saved
rots immediately
has no shelf life
not for evan an instant
yet all of humanity
in its obsession
to control time
has broken time
into past present future
creating all kinds
of spoiled delusion

poem of the day February 1

The big cold
winter moon
gave extra
special light
to the dawn
Illuminating
rabbit day
Although
the rabbits
were no
where in sight

Saturday, January 31, 2026

poem of the day January 31

last day of
the long month
still cold
air light
no wind
clear frozen
thoughts hang
over a meadow
in deep winter
with little signs
of spring

poem of the day January 30

I am hoping
some day
the greedy
will all fly off
to Mars
with all
their riches
and leave
what's left of
Mother Earth
alone for the rest
of us to enjoy
before it is too late

poem of the day January 29

What color
would you be
to be free
to climb a tree?
Would you
play it safe
be leafy green
maybe mellow yellow
like a submarine?
Would you
be willing
to be Brown
climb up the trunk
only to be
thrown down
to the ground
by a wild gang
of angry thugs
firing live slugs?
Would you
be Black
always to be
attacked
by some
cartoon dudes
in masks and hats?
Or would you
be lily White
armed to the teeth
with a cowardly might
alone in the Whitehouse
devoid of all light?

poem of the day January 28

Between
bad ideas
bad actions
Connecting
the dots
Become
chaos
confused
blurred
When those
who control
our time
watch too
much TV
dressed like
cartoon characters

Tuesday, January 27, 2026

poem of the day January 27

sunrise is
rolling like
an endless wave
breaking over
earth at dawn
moving with time
over and over
around the world
every twenty four hours
never resting
always rising
but never ever
able to see its
own sunset

poem of the day January 26

Christmas trees
long abandoned
have gone feral
Allowing a stand
of Doug Fir
to root itself
on a New England hillside
where the farm
is now breeding
west coast souls

Sunday, January 25, 2026

 poem of the day Anticipation

Anticipation
has fallen over
the old farm
Everything
is quiet
Hunkered down
No animals
in sight
Trees stand
still & upright
All are waiting
for a big
blizzard snow
to come and go
with lots of snow

Saturday, January 24, 2026

poem of the day January 24

it was
a sloppy
sleepy light
spilling in and out
of cold fed clouds
that caught my eye
on this mid-winter afternoon
reminding me
that even light
sometimes lacks perfection

Friday, January 23, 2026

poem of the day January 23

the staircase
just hung there
between floors
like a philosopher
full of steps
trying to decide
the meaning
of up and down

Thursday, January 22, 2026

poem of the day January 22

Looking out
the window
in a windless
very cold dawn
safe inside
a warm room
i am reminded
of the degrees of lucky

Wednesday, January 21, 2026

poem of the day January 21

landing
the morning
well rested
after flying
all night
first class
aboard
my own
dream liner
where traveling
was easy and
did not require
a passport or money
only some thoughts
of past present future
pulled from the pulse of everywhere

Tuesday, January 20, 2026

poem of the day January 20

iron will
though
seemingly
invincible
is no match
when up
against
the river
of reality
making
those who
hitch their wagon
to ironmen
born of delusion
in danger
of dying
for someone
else's karma

poem of the day January 19

I watched
so many
snowflakes
fall from
the sky
one after
another
and get lost
in a sea of snow

Sunday, January 18, 2026

poem of the day January 18

True love
has become
so rare
so desired
so monetized
It is now collected
and treated as trophies
So no wonder
with so many
people using love
as an investment
Many are willing to pay
staggering amounts
for the perfect love
Making true love so valuable
it is mostly
place on shelves
high on pedestals
separated, unrequited
sitting all by itself
And now with
so many AI fake loves
on the market
It is virtually impossible
to tell real love from fake love
especially when most
real love stuck alone
on a shelf with only itself

poem of the day January 17

soft snow
white sky
blend together
with no separation
merging into
a strange oneness
making earth
seem like a small ball

poem of the day January 16

Standing
on the hump
of the long month
Reached the top
of the mountain
just at sunrise
Getting ready
for the first
steps down
the down slide
of January
Where as far
as I can see
the days are getting longer

poem of the day January 15

Dressed
in formal
flight attire
Sporting
a fine blue
feathered coat
A jet black
dashing scarf
around its neck
and a magnificent
cobalt crown
fitted for its
crested head
No wonder
the blue jar
squawked
as if it was king

poem of the day January 14

Of course
with so many
out of their mind
Earthlings living
like they are
Zombies in
outer space
there has to be
a group
right now
fantasizing
about sitting
on lunar chairs
sipping cocktails
watching the earthrise
illuminate the moon
Getting ready to start
leaping and hopping
on Earthshadows
Earthshadows, Earthshadows....

poem of the day January 13

on a bridge
over a river
water rushing
down below
duck fishing
diving deeper
in the current
of the flow
like a penny
into water
duck sinks
to catch a wish
where it rises
breaking surface
in its beak
a little fish

poem of the day January 11

Everyone knew
the yellow
brick road
was only
make believe
fools good
but that did
not stop
the glittering pander
coming non-stop
from the mouth
of the conman
spread by his army
of greedy henchmen
who were able
to convince
the frightened masses
they had to believe
all fantastical  fairy tales
coming from the lips of Oz

poem of the day January 10

when the status quo
truly drifts into
a  daily nightmare
and seems acceptable
It is time to do more
than cover your head
with a blanket of fear

poem of the day January 9

If you were
a rocket ship
how many
skins would
you shed
on the way
to outer space
And once you got
to the last dance
just before reaching
the border of life & death
would you plow through
the karma of the karman line
clicking magic red slippers while
sipping fresh light inside a new blue dress?

poem of the day January 8

What if you
walked along
the cliff
and stayed
on the path
and nothing
out of
the ordinary
happened
What if you
walked along
the cliff
and left
the path
and nothing
out of
the ordinary
happened
