poem of the day January 30 

Our reflection

A sending back

A glimpse

A projection 

of human light

Some shallow 

Some deep

Both define a soul

The superficial  bounces

off the mirror

with a bolt of vanity

The introspective  penetrates 

the fathomless mind

all the way to musing pool 

Two eyes of thought

only able to see

the reflection sent

by the light of humanity
