poem of the day June 14 

There are

just too 

many chiefs

with too many fiefdoms 

Being defended

by too many guns

All shouting

in a rage

of emotions

with a voice

only of power

Not a voice

of compassion

Of right and wrong

Does anyone

really believe 

in this 21th century

environment 

that the meek can

still inherit the earth?
