poem of the day July 22 

Everybody thought

tunnels were

only underground

Artificial subterranean 

man made passages

forged through 

mountains and rivers

for the good of humanity

Designed to ease the burdens

of the inhospitable 

Never once did

anyone think

tunnels could 

exist without

the physical walls 

that surround them

But here we are

in a brave new world 

navigating the wild currents 

of social media

Where the airwaves

The lifeways are

constantly being 

filled  with 

like minded ideas 

designed to amplify 

those ideas into

thick mental impregnable walls 

designed to keep us 

in tribes separated 

from each other

in tunnel visions

of our own making
