I am looking
at the carving
that was carved
long ago
from the wooden tree
of tranquility
The wooden nature helped
the carver see a tomorrow
that was now captured
forever in the past
Yet as I look
at the carving
in my present guiding light
I feel the same passion
as the carver
who released what
was inside of
the wooden tree
for a future the carver
would experience but
never get to see
