poem of the day April 8

Finishing
is hard
maybe for
a finish carpenter
but is hardly
the obstacle
that keeps me
and those souls
like me
from running
the race
Starting is
the wall
The big mountain
has to be
climbed with
a huge pack of inertia
full of doubt
full of lazy
full of random
dreams sitting
on shelves
that weigh
as much as
time bottles
without a direction
Each one is full
of exquisite procrastination
seemingly impossible to overcome
Yet, Here I am lined up
at the starting gate
My thoughts are trembling
I need to calm down
Someone please hand me one more bottle
before I begin
