poem of the day August 14

There was a treasure box
full of rocks
sitting on the bottom
of the sea
It was there to hide
what was inside
from the eyes of humanity
But down they came eventually
in a bubble carved log
that sunk by self esteem
Where they picked the lock
in a flash of a tock
and found the golden gleam
Soon a rope born of endless hope
was attached with heavy greed
The chains could not break
for nature's sake
until the treasure left the sea
But when they tried to move
time had fused the heavy treasure door
and those greedy human boys
who played with stolen toys

were soon just bones on a golden floor
