poem of the day August 17

An army of Dragon Flies are
bombing the meadow
World War One flying machines
Daring young well dressed bugs
darting over the landscape
loop to loop
flap to flap
flying in formation
as they fight a great romantic battle
Where only the bad bugs die
and life is measured by
the brave ideals we humans place on wild insects
